Bleeder ON/OFF Function
By turning on the bleeder function, the charge accumulated on the load side at the time of OUTPUTOFF can be quickly discharged to lower the Output voltage.
A battery connected to the output terminal will be discharged when the bleeder function is on, even if the OUTPUT is turned off. In such cases, unnecessary discharge can be prevented by turning the bleeder function off.
| Item | Description |
| Enable | Turns the bleeder function on. Sink current flows when the output is off. |
| Disable | Disables the bleeder function. Prevents unintended discharge when output is turned off. However, a low sink current will still flow due to the resistance inside the PXT series. The reference values of the internal resistance are as follows: PXT20K-500: approx. 55 kΩ PXT20K-1500: approx. 560 kΩ |
Priority Operation Mode
It is possible to set which Operation mode is used when the output is turned on. When a battery or power supply is connected, overshoot can be prevented by giving priority to CC mode.
Operation modes that can be set: Constant voltage (CV), Constant current (CC), Constant power (CP) mode
Faster no load fall time
The PXT series has a no load fall time of 750 ms. This contributes to shorter takt time.
External Control Function
EXT of rear panel The PXT series can be controlled by external devices using the CONT connector. The general-purpose digital input terminal and the general-purpose digital output terminal can be assigned any functions, facilitating system construction in combination with other measurement devices.
Digital I/O standard for both NPN and PNP type PLCs. Analog I/O is isolated from output terminals as standard, allowing safe analog control from PLC.
Sequence function
Pre-defined actions can be executed continuously. A total of 30 programs can be created, and the Maximum number of steps can be up to 10,000 for all programs. Programs stored in the main unit’s memory can be exported to USB memory from the front panel.
Variable internal resistance feature
This function changes the Output voltage value according to the Output current value based on the set resistance value in constant voltage operation. Internal resistance of rechargeable batteries, wire harnesses, etc. can be simulated in a simplified manner.
I-V characteristic function
By registering multiple arbitrary points on the I-V characteristics, arbitrary I-V characteristics can be set for each CC and CV operation mode. Since 3 to 100 arbitrary points can be registered, it is possible to simulate I-V characteristics of rechargeable batteries, etc.
Parallel operation can realize up to 25 units, 500 kW. *
Up to 25 units (500 kW) can be connected in parallel, including the master unit. The connection is a Master-slave parallel operation, and the panel of the master unit can control and display the entire system. Since it has an automatic recognition function, a large-capacity system can be constructed without complicated settings.
* Parallel operation is possible between models with different input rated voltages.
★ Please consult with us if you would like to use 10 or more units in Parallel operation.
Selectable power input
Full output at rated power regardless of input voltage. Choose from 3-phase 3-wire 200 V or 400 V models. No output limitation for either input voltage.
Reliable and solid performance even under high temperatures
Solid performance under operating temperatures of 0°C to 50°C (32 °F to 122 °F). Full performance even in harsh ambient temperature environments, such as when installed in equipment.
Protection Functions for Safety Operation
- OVP (Over Voltage Protection)
- UVP (Under Voltage Protection)
- WDOG (Communication error protection)
- OPP (Over Power Protection)
- OCP (Over Current Protection)
- EXT LOW (External input alarm detection)
