In addition to the general-purpose detector (type D) provided as standard, the detector range includes a wide variety (sold separately) to support specific applications. The DC type is provided for testing the internal wall hardness of pipes with diameters that cannot be tested with the D type, the D+15 type for bearings and gears, and the DL type for small areas such as the underside of small gears and welds. corner.
For a rebound-type hardness tester, gravity affects the measurement results depending on the orientation of the detector relative to the vertical when it is pressed against the surface of the specimen. The HH-411 is equipped with the latest measurement technology which automatically detects the orientation of the detector to automatically correct this effect. For this reason, setting the detector orientation is not necessary.
Only a small surface (standard D type: 22mm, sold separately DL type: 4mm) is required for the hardness test. Therefore HH-411 can be used for testing various specimen shapes such as around grooves and gear teeth.
