Equipped with an easy-to-read color LCD AC power supply aiming for the lightest weight in the industry
The 8500 series (former EAL series) is a lightweight and compact single-phase AC power supply with a 2U height of 3kVA (15kg) and a 4U size of 6kVA (28kg). Equipped with DC output mode (420V) as standard, USB and LAN interfaces, and built-in list mode function convenient for setting start and stop phase angle, momentary interruption test and voltage POP test. You can choose from two models (STD/ADV) with different variations of installed functions according to your application.

Size and weight comparison with conventional products
Compared to our conventional products, the height and weight of the housing are both less than half, making it a compact size. It is easy to install and move, and is effective when used in combination with existing equipment.
Improved operability compared to conventional products
The large 4.3-inch LCD display, flexible operability of the large rotary knob, and numeric keypad make settings more efficient. Provides better usability. Compared to our conventional products, the operability has been greatly improved.
Ramp-up function and input phase angle setting are provided as standard equipment.
It has an adjustable ramp-up time setting when the output is ON, allowing the voltage to rise without overloading (starting current) during motor starting operation. It is also possible to set the phase for output.

In addition to PC-based communication control, it supports analog control of 0 to 10Vdc control. Voltage and frequency can be controlled from PLC.
Conforms to EMC standard EN61326-1
In addition to safety standard IEC610101, it complies with EMC standard EN61326-1, which is a requirement for equipment used in measurement, control and laboratory environments.

Uses a low-noise fan with excellent durability. At rated output, it is a maximum of 55dB and quietness of the top class.
Supports a wide output variable range
Supports output voltages from 0 to 310 V and frequencies from 5 to 1200 Hz. It can be used in a wide range of situations, from white goods such as air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, and vacuum cleaners to component evaluation of aircraft power supplies and motors.
DC output function
With the DC output function, it can be used as a DC power supply of up to 420V. As well as AC input equipment. It can also be used for testing DC input devices.
Includes EAB and 6600 series command compatibility mode
Equipped with a command compatibility mode to take advantage of the control software assets of the EAB series and 6600 series. Easy to replace with existing equipment. * In compatible mode, setting voltage and frequency from the front panel is prohibited.
Inrush current supply up to 1000msec (up to 4 times the specification)
In addition to inrush current, short-circuit current output assuming output short-circuit is possible within 1000msec.
Overcurrent foldback function
A large starting current temporarily flows through motors, compressors, etc. If this starting current activates the protection circuit of the AC power supply, the test cannot be performed. With the overcurrent foldback function developed to avoid this, you can use it safely for testing motors and compressors. (Response time <1.4s)
Supports waveform output modes other than sine wave (8500 ADV model)
In addition to sine waves, it supports a wide range of output modes including triangle waves, square waves, and clipped sine waves.
Supports AC+DC waveform output mode (8500 ADV model)
Supports AC+DC waveform output mode superimposed on DC bias voltage. Supports complex simulation waveform requirements.
Supports step and pulse modes in addition to list mode (8500 ADV model)
In addition to the list mode, it has a built-in step mode in which frequency and voltage can be adjusted and repeatedly varied, and a pulse mode in which multiple voltages can be set, enabling more complex waveform simulations.
Equipped with synchronous signal (SYNC) output function (8500 ADV model)
In addition to ON / OFF, it generates a 5V sync signal as an output signal when START / END / BOTH / EVENT occurs. Ideal for waveform observation with an oscilloscope.
